"what's up? ill adjust it"
-5 minutes of silence
"well, im just wondering as to why you'd need an amp. do you need an amp, ill go grab one for you?"
-a couple more minutes of silence
-nux gets up out of bed and walks past me sitting in the living room, stops and looks directly at me.
"well does she?"
-"im not sure, does she what?" i ask.
"does she need some space for her dentures?"
-"you might wanna ask her yourself, i really cant tell", i answer (humoring what is already extremely humorous)
- he wanders into the kitchen, opens the fridge door, leans in, digs around some stuff, closes the door and stands upright...4 times in a row.
opens it one more time, pulls out a paper bag of button mushrooms, strategically lines 2 of them along the edge of the rack in the fridge, closes the door, takes out a few more, washes them (thankfully), and takes them to the bathroom where he proceeds to eat them while staring at his own face in the mirror 3 inches away from it.
grabs a handful of gingersnap cookies, and walks back to bed crunching on them.
-30 seconds later the snoring continues.
i get up, put the mushroom soldiers back in their bag, console the confused cat, and wonder why there was ever a time in our lives where we actually thought we needed drugs to be irrational and think outside the box.
oh the glorious nightshift observations while hiding around the corner.

is this a sleepwalking episode? i this guy i knew of apparently got out of bed and peed in the fridge while sleepwalking. at least gingersnaps n' mushrooms are a cozy choice! :D
oh wow, that WOULD be worse.
it was a sleepwalking episode. not quite as good (and scary) as when our roommate caught him boiling a pot of water to make pasta, but humorous no less.
